Ricordo d’Italia (2005)

These inexpensive, mid-20^th C. souvenir books delight me. I took the lesson of the souvenir book but not its structure as I made my own “Ricordo” book.

With its bellows and viewfinder, Ricordo d’Italia acts like a camera, capturing a picture of another world.

Tunnel book: gouache on handmade paper; cloth over boards (covers) with cut-out in front board. Unique binding.
